This solution will help and encourage the adoption of <strong>healthier behaviour choices<\/strong> to help <strong>\u00a0maintain or improve the user\u2019s physical cognitive, mental and social well-being for as long as possible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Advice<\/strong> is given through <strong>behaviour change interventions<\/strong> specifically <strong>tailored to<\/strong> the singularities of each <strong>user<\/strong> (<strong>user-centred approach<\/strong>); these interventions range from goals to achieve on a Social Network to recommended activities around the 7 areas: cognitive stimulation, leisure and entertainment, supporting groups, physical activity, health status, nutrition and tips.<\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">Recommendations and goals are provided after performing an <strong>assessment of the status<\/strong> for determining the <strong>probability of a given disease expression<\/strong>. This assessment accounts: user\u2019s profile, context (Life Plan), socio-economic agents, health and mental status derived from the data of wearable sensors seamlessly integrated into ADL of the user and user\u2019s mood after the application of <strong>Affective Computing<\/strong> via visual and speech emotion recognition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-108\" src=\"http:\/\/wellco-project.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/success-300x225.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wellco-project.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/success-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/wellco-project.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/success-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/wellco-project.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/success-1024x768.png 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Guidance<\/strong> and <strong>follow-up<\/strong> is provided by the <strong>Virtual Coach<\/strong> developed in WellCo; this <strong>affective-aware coach<\/strong> is always active and interacts through speech with the user in order to:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Act as <strong>a virtual interface among the user and the platform<\/strong> by managing the flow of all user-platform and platform-user interactions (<strong>NLi<\/strong>);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Empower users<\/strong> in their <strong>behaviour change process<\/strong> through simulation activities tailored to their current mood (Affective Computing).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The whole <strong>service<\/strong> is also <strong>followed-up and continuously<\/strong> <strong>supported<\/strong> by a <strong>multidisciplinary team of experts<\/strong> as well as <strong>users\u2019 close caregivers<\/strong> that provide their clinical evidence (<strong>Expert-Related Outcomes<\/strong>) and knowledge about the user (<strong>Observer-Related Outcomes<\/strong>) to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of the change interventions.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WellCo delivers a radical new ICT-based solution involving personalised advice, guidance and follow-up of users.
